I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (and shared them first in this post!), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also broken them in well that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m diving into a bunch of popular FAQs, as well as where you can find them on sale, below! Also, if you’re interested in more try-ons and reviews, take a look at my comparison of Abercrombie and Agolde jean shorts, Goyard tote bag breakdown, and review of my Dudley Stephens fleece!
Where could someone find a pair like yours?
I discovered mine on discount via Cettire and purchased them that way!
Placed my order on April 28th and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast and that’s a win in my book
How much do they run?
When I bought golden goose men’s sneakers my pair in spring, I paid $385.43, but their full price is around $514.
These sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how embellished they are.
Do they fit as expected?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.
Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
Are they comfortable?
They only needed minimal break-in time..
Do they hold up well?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the sparkle on mine? Next-level.
Would you recommend them?
Totally! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re not cheap, so getting them on sale is a better idea. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. Mine have pink glitter, but a minimalist version would also go with everything.

Where did you get them?
Cettire had them on sale and I clicked “buy” right away!
Placed my order on April 28th and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick .
What’s the cost?
Back in April, I found a deal for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
Golden Goose sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400–$1,700, depending on how detailed they are.
How is the fit?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair. Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
Are they comfortable?
They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they reduce sweat. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Also, they’re already distressed so your feet just get comfortable fast.
How durable are they?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
